Accessibility Statement
Dairy Food Bulgaria wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement describes the standard we aim for, what we have done, the limitations we know of, and how to tell us about a problem.
1. The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the level referenced by the European standard EN 301 549 and by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882). This is a business-to-business website, so we apply the standard voluntarily, as a matter of good practice.
2. Conformance status
Partially conformant. Most of the website meets WCAG 2.2 level AA; the exceptions we know of are listed in section 4.
3. What we have done
- A “Skip to content” link is the first element on every page.
- Every page has one main heading, a logical heading order and landmark regions for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
- The navigation, accordions, the catalogue filter, the pricing questionnaire, the 3D package viewer, the globe and the cookie banner can be operated from the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. Closed menus and panels are removed from the tab order.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields have visible labels and autocomplete hints; the pricing questionnaire announces its error messages to screen readers.
- Text on solid backgrounds meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio (3:1 for large text), including the call-to-action buttons; this is checked automatically on every page template.
- Text and layout scale with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- All animation, scrolling effects and 3D scenes respect the “reduce motion” setting of your system and fall back to a static layout.
- Videos are silent and decorative; no information is conveyed by sound alone, and the same content is available as text. A “Pause video & motion” switch in the menu stops every automatically playing video and the globe’s rotation on all pages, and the choice is remembered.
4. Known limitations
- The website is in English; the EU projects page is in Bulgarian, as required by the funding programme.
5. How we tested
Self-assessment, October 2026: automated checks (Lighthouse, axe) on every page template, manual keyboard navigation of every interactive component, browser zoom at 200%, and the “reduce motion” setting on desktop and mobile. We re-test when the website changes.
6. Feedback and contact
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, write to contact@dairyfoodbg.com with the page address and a description of the problem. We reply within 2 business days, and we will fix the barrier or provide the information in another format.
7. Updates
This statement was prepared on 4 October 2026 and is reviewed whenever the website changes substantially.
